This 200 Hour RYT training is held In Salt Lake City, Utah and is assisted by Mary Cain with special guest instructors. This course of study is certified by Yoga Alliance and completion will result in earning a RYT 200 HR certification.
This training is born of deep study with Rod Stryker and ParaYoga, Yoga Therapy and Principles of Alignment. The focus is to empower students with the knowledge of all eight limbs of yoga and the study of yoga philosophy in combination with modern mind/body science.
With a concentration on the importance of breath and its relationship to physical and energetic movement, a central theme will be functional alignment paired with intelligent sequencing. The course aims to lay the foundation for integrating asana with pranayama and meditation to create more powerful effects from practice, and ultimately help students begin to understand the full transformative potential of yoga practice.
About This Training
If you are looking to begin the journey of being a yoga teacher, deepen your personal practice, or discover tools for healthy, productive self-inquiry, this training will give you a rich foundation of information and experience in which to continue to grow.
We aim to guide yoga students into becoming exceptional yoga teachers with an ability to safely and effectively lead people of all kinds into a meaningful and authentic yoga practice. Students will learn how to practice and teach a wide range of asana, pranayama and meditation techniques with intelligent sequencing. Participants will learn techniques to address different levels of practitioners, individual bodies, and integrate valuable yogic wisdom into their teaching.
This is a rigorous and thorough program. There will be regular assignments outside of the training including observation, partner teaching, and a seva (service) project. Upon completion, participants will be certified and eligible for 200 Hour RYT registration with Yoga Alliance.
Participants will learn how to:
Safely and systematically practice and instruct asana, pranayama, meditation.
Become skillful at teaching a variety of levels of yoga practitioners and making hands on adjustments.
Create intelligent sequences based on theme, apex pose, energetics and more.
Modify and adapt asana for a variety of students.
Integrate authentic yoga philosophy into group classes and private lessons.
